Fan Clubs Feature: Boost User Loyalty and Community Engagement

We've released a new feature for our clients: fan clubs, created to increase user retention, loyalty, and add more engaging in-chat community experiences. The feature is especially useful during major sporting tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup™ 2026, continental championships, leagues, and other large-scale competitions that inspire strong fan engagement. But you can use it not just for sports.

The idea is simple. When users cheer for a team, they want to express this dedication and stand out within the community. Once created, fan clubs allow users to choose the one they support. Once selected, the club's icon or badge appears next to the user's avatar in community chats, making their support visible to all. It is also possible to make fan Clubs include dedicated chats in addition to the main community chat. This allows users to decide whether they want to participate in discussions with all users of the platform or connect just with mate supporters who share the passion with the same club.

Fan Clubs Increase Engagement

The feature adds a sense of identity and belonging to the community at the same time. By allowing users to publicly display their support, platforms can create stronger emotional connections and encourage more active participation. In short, grow brand loyalty and user retention.

Some common use cases include:

* Supporting national teams during international tournaments such as the World Cup 2026.

* Creating fan groups for football clubs, esports teams, or sports leagues.

* Allowing players to choose factions, races, guilds, or teams in gaming communities.

* Organising communities around content creators, streamers, influencers, or entertainment brands.

* Creating interest-based groups within general-purpose community platforms.

Flexible Configuration for Different Community Types

While Fan Clubs are obviously fit for sports-related platforms, they can be used for platforms in various industries and community formats. A community chat linked to one specific video game can definitely give the basis for various club creations if people play on different sides. The same is relevant for hobbies, countries of origin, cities of living, or reputable artists.

The exact implementation depends on the platform’s content, audience interests, and engagement goals, giving the flexibility to create experiences that resonate with a specific type of user.

Fan Clubs are now available and can be set up to match the objectives of your community. Check them out!
